mike rawleigh didn’t think anything much about the rumors but he was really getting tired of hearing them in the office and from his brother and his best friend. to tell you the truth he was getting tired of hearing about it.

he had heard all the rumors and a lot of them weren’t true. he decided to just ignore it. it wasn’t like he had a date or anything. it was just one of those things that he knew his friend and his brother would get too worked up about.

mike was having his sixth beer when he noticed it. he stood up and went to the bathroom to fix himself a drink. he was surprised to see that it was already five o’clock. he only had a few more hours before he had to go home.

he walked out of the bathroom and noticed the clock on the wall. it had only been five hours. how did that happen? he asked himself. he must have dozed off. he didn’t remember falling asleep. he drank his beer and turned back to the bathroom to check the time. when he saw it was still five o’clock he froze. the time on the bathroom clock read six-thirty. who was supposed to be in his room? he froze and heard a creak on the floor.

he turned towards the noise and there was a teddy bear sitting in his chair. he was wearing a shirt, pants, shoes and a black tie. mike screamed and jumped up. he yelled, “what the hell are you doing here?”

the teddy bear rose and said, “i’m here to make sure that you don’t do anything you are going to regret.” mike ran out of the bathroom and into the hallway where he called for help. someone came and he told them what was happening. they took him to his brother’s room and he told him what happened. mike didn’t know what he was going to do.

he sat down and waited for the room to clear out. when everyone left he saw a white envelope on the table. he picked it up and looked at it. the envelope was addressed to mike. it was addressed to “mike rawleigh”. mike ran to the door and called the desk. when the desk answered he told them what happened. they put him in a cab and sent him home. he opened the envelope and read the note.
