Game (stage name Christopher George Simmons) (born August 8, 1973), also known as Rich The Kid and 2 Chainz[1] (his legal name has no connection to his rap name), is an American rapper, actor and record producer.
The 22-year-old has been a member of the hip-hop collective Odd Future since 2009 and is known for his alternative hip hop style. He is a three-time Grammy Award winner.

The Game is the second-youngest artist, and fifth rapper overall, to be included on Rolling Stone”’s 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. He was the first hip-hop artist to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.[2]

Simmons was born in Austin, Texas, to Cheryl (née Richardson) and Erik Simmons, a radio show host. He has two older siblings, a brother named Willie and an older sister named Niki. He dropped out of high school in the 10th grade and began selling drugs and hustling to provide for his family. He also worked as a police informant, and in 1994, he began rapping for the first time.[3] According to Simmons, when he began writing raps, he knew that the publishing company wanted someone who could “present ideas in a coherent artistic way.”[4] With writing partner/labelmate Kenneth “K-Doe” Simmons, they used the name The D.O.C. as The Radiators when they first began working together in 1995.[5]

He later changed his name to The Game while working with DJ Clark Kent, who gave him the nickname. Due to their ties, he began working with Odd Future in 2009.[5]

Simmons started his music career in the late 1980s with local Austin, TX hip hop groups such as Sick Wid It. Around 1995, he, Kenneth Simmons and K-Doe changed their name to “The D.O.C.” and took on the lyrical persona of the fictional drug dealer featured on the single “Ain’t No Fun (If the D.O.C. Ain’t in It)” on the Tribe Called Quest album The Low End Theory. In the same year, they released the independent single,
